James F. Dixon, III
Executive Managing Director of Private Client Group
James Dixon joined Sterne Agee in 1994 and has worked in Equity Trading, Fixed Income Trading, and the Private Client Group. In 2008, Mr. Dixon was appointed to the Sterne Agee Board of Directors. Mr. Dixon graduated from the University of Alabama, where he also earned an MBA. He earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University and completed the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School. Mr. Dixon is a graduate of the Branch Manager Development Program at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Outside of his work for Sterne Agee, he has been a member of several professional organizations, including president of the Alabama Security Dealers Association and has served as an officer of the Birmingham Bond Club. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham, the Monday Morning Quarterback Club, and an officer at Independent Presbyterian Church.
B. Daniel Sanderlin
Associate Director of Private Client Group
Dan Sanderlin joined Sterne Agee in 2004. He is a Managing Director and Associate Director of the Private Client Group, responsible for the operations of the PCG's Compliance, Accounting, and Administrative policies and procedures. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sanderlin served as Regional Principal for AmSouth Investment Services, where he was involved in the compliance of and training for approximately 230 Financial Consultants and licensed bank employees in North and North Central Alabama. While at AmSouth, he served as Commissions Supervisor, implementing and managing a new commission payout system for over 1,500 Financial Consultants and licensed bank employees across AmSouth's footprint. Mr. Sanderlin began his career at Standard & Poor's, moving to Lipper Analytical Services and then Merrill Lynch. He holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Colorado State University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Sanderlin is also a former CPA, and holds an insurance license, as well as FINRA series 4, 7, 24, 53, and 63 licenses.
