David I. Weprin

David Weprin has been with the Sterne Agee’s Public Finance Group since 2003. He has over 16 years of public finance experience in senior positions with Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, Kidder Peabody and Co., Paine Webber, Advest, and Sterne Agee. Previously, Mr. Weprin served as Deputy Superintendent of Banks for New York State and Secretary to the New York Banking Board. He is a former Chairman of the Securities Industry Association – New York District, and has served on the boards of the New York City Tax Reform Task Force, the New York State Government Finance Officers’ Association, and the Citizens Budget Commission. He is currently a board member of the Securities Industry Association – Economic Education Foundation. Mr. Weprin received a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany and a JD from Hofstra University School of Law. He holds professional licenses consisting of Series 52, 63.
