J. David Hooks

David Hooks’ background includes experience in business and public service as an investment banker, economic developer and government official. In addition to his 25 years in Investment Banking, Mr. Hooks has served on the city council of two cities, as Head of Economic Development for the State of Alabama, and as the Senior Manager of Industrial Recruitment for the Tennessee Valley Authority. He is involved in many civic activities, including serving on the Manufacturing Committee of the Black Belt Commission. Mr. Hooks received an MPA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a BS in Political Science from the University of Alabama. He holds professional licenses consisting of Series 7, 24, 53, and 63.
