Michael Coleman joined Sterne Agee in January 2006 after being with Southwest Securities since 2003. He followed specialty retail companies until the fall of 2004, when he transferred to Southwest’s coverage of regional companies. Prior to joining Southwest Securities, Mr. Coleman covered technology distribution and specialty retail companies at Morgan Keegan and Company in Memphis, Tennessee. Before entering the securities industry in 1999, he was a member of the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange (an affiliate of CBOT), where he traded Treasury bond futures and agricultural commodity futures on the floor of the exchange. Mr. Coleman earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University Chicago in 1999, and a BS in Agriculture with a major in Agricultural Economics from the at Urbana-Champaign in 1993. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003.
