Steve Pokorny joined Sterne Agee in January 2006 as the Director of Institutional Equity Sales. Prior to joining the firm, he ran the Institutional Sales Force at Southwest Securities, Inc. for nearly two years. Mr. Pokorny was also employed by Janney, Montgomery, Scott from 1992 to 2004, where he worked in various areas of the trading and sales desks to eventually become Janney’s top sales producer in 2001, 2002, and 2003. He was recognized as Janney’s Institutional “Man of the Year” for 2003. Mr. Pokorny graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in English and minor in Business.
