Michael D. Perry
Managing Director - Financial Institutions Group

Mr. Perry joined Sterne Agee in April 2009 as a senior member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking.  He is responsible for client coverage of depository institutions. Mr. Perry has over sixteen years of experience in the financial services industry and has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory and capital raising assignments for large cap and middle market financial services companies.  His industry experience includes assignments with Bank of America, Bank One, BB&T, Chase, GE Capital, Hibernia, Merrill Lynch, M&T Bank, New York Community Bank, PNC Financial, Sovereign Bancorp, Sun Life, and Washington Mutual.  Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Mr. Perry was a Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch with responsibility for client coverage of depository institutions.  Prior to Merrill Lynch, he was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Bear Stearns and previously worked in the FIG groups at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Smith Barney.  Mr. Perry received his B.S. in Business Administration from the and his M.B.A., with Beta Gamma Sigma honors, from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
