Mr. Maughan joined Sterne Agee in 2007. He has 30 years of experience in the financial industry at firms including Morgan Stanley, Drexel Burnham, Kidder Peabody, BayMark Capital, Nesbitt Burns, CastaNet Capital, and most recently Flagstone Securities. Mr. Maughan's investment banking experience spans public and private debt, equity and preferred, securitization and M&A advisory assignments for mid and large sized financial institutions in the US, Canada, and Japan. He also has worked extensively with turnaround and distressed situations.
