Cary Cooper
Head of Fixed Income Division

Cary Cooper has been with Sterne Agee since 1998 and currently serves as Executive Managing Director and Head of the Fixed Income Division. Mr. Cooper was elected to the Sterne Agee board in 2006, and in 2007 he moved from Fixed Income Sales to the Head of Fixed Income – the role he holds today. He earned a BS in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama and received an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Eric Needleman
Head of Fixed Income Credit Division

Mr. Needleman joined Sterne Agee as the Head of the Fixed Income Credit Division based out of our NYC office. Prior to joining the firm, he spent over 6 years with KBC Financial Products, where he served as Head of High Yield Sales, Trading and Research and Co-Head of U.S. market making. He started his career with Lehman Brothers and had subsequently worked at Granchester Securities (high yield division of Wasserstein Perella), where he served as a managing director in both sales and research capacities. Mr. Needleman is originally from Long Island, and graduated with a BA in Government and English from Lehigh University.

Brant McDuffie
Head of Fixed Income Rates Division

Mr. McDuffie joined Sterne Agee as Head of Rates Sales and leads our Fixed Income Strategies Team. He joined Sterne Agee in 2009 from Wells Fargo where he spent the previous 12 years in Global Rates and was a Director in Interest Rate and Currency Derivatives. Mr. McDuffie graduated with a BA in Managerial Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
