Sterne Agee Serves as Sole Underwriter for the City of Jackson, Mississippi’s Bond Issue

Birmingham, AL, (May 13, 2008) -  Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. served as underwriter for the City of Jackson, Mississippi’s recent $5,155,000 bond issue. The Series 2008 Special Obligation Bonds were issued through the Mississippi Development Bank and security for the bonds is a general obligation and a City ad valorem tax. Sterne Agee was successful in helping the City affirm its investment grade, A1 underlying rating from Moody’s Investors Service and in securing bond insurance from Assured Guaranty Corp.
