Nicholas P. Heymann and Lawrence T. De Maria join Sterne Agee

Birmingham, AL, (October 2, 2007) - Nicholas P. Heymann and Lawrence T. De Maria, CFA join Sterne Agee in its New York office as Senior Vice Presidents in the Equity Research Department.

Heymann leads the Global Industrial Infrastructure Team comprised of 4 analysts and associates with a 30 Global Industrial Infrastructure Stock Universe. The companies he and his team cover include multi-industry, capital goods, machinery, electrical equipment and transportation companies. They will provide detailed insight into the $1.0 trillion annual industrial infrastructure market which is projected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2015. In addition to providing institutional research, the Global Industrial Infrastructure Team will lead the development of Sterne Agee’s Greenfield Infrastructure Project financing business.

Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Mr. Heymann was a Senior Vice President at Prudential Equity Group and Natwest Securities Incorporated. Before that, Mr. Heymann was with Drexel Burnhan Lambert, Incorporated as a Managing Director.  Mr. Heymann was also with General Electric Company as a Financial Analyst/Corporate Auditor.

Mr. Heymann received his B.S. from the University of Maine at Orono and a M.B.A. from Amos Tuck, Dartmouth College.

Mr. Heymann and his wife and two daughters reside in New York.

De Maria will work as a Research Analyst in the Global Industrial Infrastructure Research Team. 

Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Mr. De Maria was a Senior Vice President at Prudential Equity Group. Before that, he was a Vice President at AG Edwards and Sons, Inc.

Mr. De Maria received his BS in Business Management from Providence College. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and member of New York Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.

Mr. DeMaria and his wife and children reside in Connecticut.
